Lear Corp. said it plans to cut another $150 million in costs within a year as the auto-parts maker continues to deal with slumping U.S. auto production.

The Southfield, Mich., company also said it has drawn $400 million under its revolving credit facility to protect against "possible short-term disruptions in the credit markets." A number of firms have been tapping credit lines, saying they were doing so in case that liquidity was shut off because of the financial-market woes. Lear has $800 million still available.
